If Blade Runner, Masamune Shirow and Anthony Bourdain's stomach had a love child...it would be KOJAWAN. The future has arrived...and I've been waiting...
Located on the 23rd floor of Hilton Metropole in LONDON, KOJAWAN is the creative brainchild of Henry Chebaane (Blue Sky Hospitality) who has mastered "real virtuality". And he's clearly giving Inception a run for its money. I mean, why pay to see what the future could look like when you can go to it, right now? Tardis not required!
Gallery + Restaurant + Bar, KOJAWAN is a visual dream within a dream...integrating retro-futurist Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese design aesthetics and FLAVORS. Their extensive and beautifully designed menu offers a wildly imaginative selection of eats, treats and drinks that a Space-Age Bond would be proud of.
Henry Chebaane has curated KOJAWAN with a plethora of Pop-Artifacts including a few by yours truly. (see below)
I have always been a huge fan of futuristic Japanese interior design as applied to locations in and around Tokyo. But I've never seen an interior capture that feeling while taking it to the next level like KOJAWAN.
Let me be frank. I would live here if I could. And don't think I haven't asked them. I have. If there was a bedroom hidden in this wall, it would be mine. Alas, I live in Little Tokyo, Ca, quite a distance away from The London Underground...for now...
More pics of this sick looking space...pun intended!
